Lors de la 18e Assemblée générale (Florence, Italie, novembre 2014), l'ICOMOS, par le biais du Symposium Scientifique « Patrimoine et paysages en tant que valeurs humaines » voulait promouvoir un large débat destiné à améliorer le dialogue interculturel en plaçant l'être humain au centre du débat culturel, dont les valeurs patrimoniales et paysagères constituent une synthèse commune.

At the 18th General Assembly (Florence, Italy, November 2014), the Scientific Symposium "Heritage and Landscapes as Human Values" wanted to promote a broad discussion able to provide insights for improving the intercultural dialogue and placing the human being at the centre of the cultural debate, where heritage and landscape values represent a shared synthesis. Following presentations by 170 speakers and debates, the General Assembly adopted the "The Florence Declaration on Heritage and Landscapes as Human Values regarding the values of Cultural Heritage in building a peaceful and democratic society".

ICOMOS Argentine et le Comité scientifique international ICOMOS IFLA sur les paysages culturels (ISC CL) ont organisé un symposium qui a remporté un grand succès à Mendoza, en Argentine, du 9 au 15 décembre. Une multitude de présentations de membres de l'ISC CL et de nombreux collègues de la région ont offert des perspectives et des orientations futures pour l'identification, la protection et la gestion des paysages culturels des zones urbaines, périurbaines et rurales.

Mendoza GatheringICOMOS Argentina and the ICOMOS IFLA International Scientific Committee on Cultural Landscapes (ISC CL) hosted a very successful Symposium at Mendoza, Argentina from December 9 to 15. A wealth of presentations by ISC CL members and many colleagues from the region offered insights and future directions for the identification, protection and management of cultural landscapes of the urban, peri-urban and rural zones.
