ICOMOS Netherlands publishes, in collaboration with scholars from the LeidenDelftErasmus Centre for Global Heritage and Development (CHGD), a new and important work presenting multidisciplinary research that connects water to heritage.
The Climate Heritage Network Global Launch is a two-day program (24-25 October 2019) devoted to urgently mobilizing the cultural heritage sector for climate action across the globe. The programme will serve as a key catalyst for accelerating the ambition of culture and heritage actors to help the communities they work in to deliver on ambitions of the Paris Agreement. The launch builds on the Climate Heritage Mobilization@ Global Climate Action Summit held in San Francisco in 2018.
We are pleased to invite submissions for sessions and individual abstracts for the GA2020 Scientific Symposium which takes place in Sydney from 5-9 October 2020.
Heritage and Democracy was the designated theme for the Scientific Symposium organised in the largest Democracy of the world - India in the city of New Delhi from 11th to 15th December 2017 during the course of ICOMOS 19th General Assembly.
The fundamental idea of this Symposium was inspired by a recent global shift in heritage discourse towards a sincere people-centric engagement. The Scientific Symposium proceedings explore the possibilities for cultural heritage in a domain of multiple stakeholders, recognising the challenges of cultural diversity and resulting contestations amidst local and/or global communities.
