On 21-22 October 2024, a workshop on Preliminary Assessment Requests for National Focal Points from the Asia region took place in Chengdu, China. The event was organised by ICOMOS and ICOMOS China, in partnership with the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Heritage Administration and WHITRAP.

On 21 September, ICOMOS China held its 1st University Forum dedicated to Chinese cultural heritage in collaboration with Tsinghua University’s School of Architecture, in Beijing. A total of 120 attendees participated in this event aimed to explore the implications of cultural heritage studies.
On 8 October, the European Heritage Policy Agora was held in the frame of the European Heritage Summit 2024 in Bucharest. This event aimed to explore ways to better integrate heritage practice within European policy and discuss the concept of quality with an emphasis on challenges linked to the climate crisis. 3 ICOMOS representatives participated in the discussions.
