ICOMOS Action Plan for the SDGs - Final draft now online!

SDG Target 11Following the fruitful discussions of the ICOMOS Coordination Meeting on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) held on February 4-5, 2017 in Istanbul, and review period for ICOMOS membership during Spring 2017, the "ICOMOS Action Plan: Cultural Heritage and Localizing the SDGs" is now finalized and available to download online by clicking here.

The Action Plan is envisioned to serve as a framework and general road map for ICOMOS to mobilize internally its scientific and advocacy capabilities, and to conduct strategic outreach externally, toward its vision for ‘the recognition, mainstreaming and effective contribution of cultural heritage as a driver and enabler of sustainable development in the process of implementing the United Nations Agenda 2030 and Sustainable Development Goals'. We hope it will be embraced widely and useful for ICOMOS efforts related to the global sustainable development agenda.
