logo400pxDear ICOMOS members

You are warmly invited to attend the July 2020 ICOMOS General Assembly.

The sole purpose of this General Assembly is to seek agreement to hold all forthcoming 2020 statutory meetings as virtual meetings (i.e. the Triennial General Assembly, Advisory Committee, Board and Bureau meetings).

Providing that the holding of a virtual Triennial General Assembly later in 2020 is validated by the July General Assembly, we will send you additional information on its dates and modalities in due course.

The July 2020 General Assembly will take place in two online sessions via ZOOM, each with its own registration link:

- 23 July, 12:00 PM (noon) to 13:00 CEST: discussion (see the draft agenda here)

Calendrier picto  The registration deadline for both sessions is Monday 20 July.

The results of the vote on the resolution will also be announced to all members via newsletter on the 24 July.

For further background information, the working documents, and information on the Euro-Vote platform we are using - please follow this link. We also invite you to consult the Frequently Asked Questions sheet we have prepared.

The General Assembly will take place in the format of a Zoom webinar, which means that attendees:

  • will not be able to speak unless they raise their hand (the button “raise your hand” will be visible at the bottom of the Zoom screen)
  • will not be able to show their video
  • will be able to discuss in the chat box and ask questions to the presenters, whose video will be visible.

For voting members only

Not all ICOMOS members are voting members.

If you are a member through a National Committee, your National Committee must have designated you as a voting member within the quota of voting members it disposes of.
If there is no National Committee in your country, you must have received an email from the International Secretariat informing you of your voting right.

The resolutions GA2020-7-1 to 7-4 will be voted on via a “show of hands” of those voting members against or abstaining using the Poll feature in Zoom.
The resolution GA2020-7-5 will be voted on via the Euro-Vote platform, which will be open from 22 July 8AM to 24 July 8 AM, CEST. Specific instructions will be sent to each voting member via email on 21 July at the latest.

If you have any questions, please contact us at secretariat[at]icomos.org.
