See all eventsThe first International Conference of the International Network for Urban-rural Heritage Conservation in Higher Education Institutions (UHC-HEI), organised in partnership with ICOMOS, ICOMOS CIAV, ICOMOS ICICH, ICOMOS CIF, ICOMOS SDGWG and ICOMOS China, will take place 25-26 October 2025. Tongji University is the host of this event under the auspices of UNESCO, the Built Heritage journal, and the Heritage Architecture journal.
The conference aims to provide a platform for participants to discuss new international experiences, concepts and trends in the field of education on urban-rural heritage conservation. It will be structured into 5 thematic sessions:
- History of heritage conservation education, theory and practice.
- Theories and methodology of heritage conservation education.
- New technologies for heritage conservation education.
- Traditional knowledge and heritage conservation education.
- Youth and the futures of heritage conservation education.
Prior to the conference, an ICOMOS CIAV-ICICH Workshop will be held in a traditional village in Yunnan Province from October 11 to 23.
