IIWC 2025 Annual Meeting and 27th Symposium

The Annual Meeting and 27th Symposium of the ICOMOS International Wood Committee will be held at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of Samsun Üniversitesi. This event will dive into the theme of “Resilient Heritage: Preparedness, Response and Recovery.” During the Symposium, the following topics will be addressed:

• Common challenges in the wooden built heritage of the Black Sea region
• Fire Hazards and Wooden Heritage: Global Perspectives
• Earthquakes and Wooden Heritage: Learning from Türkiye’s Experience
• Threatened Wooden Heritage: Multidimensial Risks and Responses.
