ICOMOS Hungary International Summer School

ICOMOS Hungary is organising the 2025 International Summer School of the ICOMOS University Forum. Organised in collaboration with ICOMOS Austria, ICOMOS Slovenia, Széchenyi István University, Óbuda University Ybl Miklós Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Architecture at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at the University of Pécs, University of Tokaj, and the Hungarian Renaissance Foundation, the Summer School aims to bring together heritage enthusiasts who wish to expand their professional knowledge and build international connections.

The theme of the event is ‘The Monument and its Environment’, which will be explored through case studies of three types of Hungarian built heritage: manor houses, vernacular architecture, and industrial heritage. Through presentations, guided field trips and interactive workshops, participants will gain a deeper understanding of these types of built heritage in a Hungarian context and share insights.
