ICOMOS Culture–Nature Prize 2024 Winners

Culture Nature Prize 2024

The ICOMOS 2024 Culture–Nature Prize, supported by a €15,000 fund from the 2022 Giving Tuesday Campaign, aims to recognise initiatives that bridge cultural and natural heritage. The prize emphasises impact, community engagement, and innovation, selecting winners from a total of 39 applications submitted between 23 April and 16 June, 2024.

Joint UNESCO/ICOMOS mission to the L'viv region of Ukraine to provide assistance in advanced documentation and emergency preparedness

Aimed at providing technical assistance on emergency preparedness to local stakeholders responsible for the management of the World Heritage property ‘Wooden Tserkvas of the Carpathian Region in Poland and Ukraine’, this mission was the final component of a series carried out in the framework of the UNESCO/Japan Funds-in-Trust Project ‘Support for Ukraine in culture and education through UNESCO; Emergency response for World Heritage and cultural property: damage assessment and protection’.
