The first volume of the Working Documents prepared for the 18th General Assembly has been posted to the ICOMOS members, see details below. Subsequent working documents will be made available in electronic format and brought to your attention by an e-News. Amendments to the StatutesThe Merged Working Group on the Statutes and the Executive Committee are pleased to inform you that the final proposal to amend the Statutes has been posted to the members in compliance with statutory requirements, for adoption by the 18th General Assembly. The proposal, the explanatory report and the compilation of the contributions received following the 3rd consultation on the amendment of the Statutes will be shortly made available on the ICOMOS website ( About ICOMOS > ICOMOS Missions and visions > Statutes and Handbook > Amendment of the ICOMOS Statutes: Members only section) and on the website of the 18th General Assembly (Programme > General Assembly > Working Documents ) Ethical PrinciplesThe Merged Working Group on the Statutes and the Bureau felt that a second consultation of the ICOMOS network was needed on the Ethical Principles. The Merged Working Group is currently still working on an updated text that duly takes into account the contributions received following the first consultation and is as consensual as possible. You will receive by the end of July a specific e-News launching the second consultation with an invitation to send your contributions to the International Secretariat by 15 September 2014. This calendar will allow the Merged Working Group to prepare a final proposal for adoption by the 18th General Assembly and to circulate it prior to the Assembly. Many thanks in advance for your attention and contribution.
