18th General Assembly: Provisional Agenda &
2nd consultation on the review of the Ethical Commitment Statement

Dear ICOMOS members,

Provisional Agenda

The Provisional Agenda for the 18th ICOMOS General Assembly (9-14 November 2014, Florence, Italy) is hereby communicated to all ICOMOS members 60 days before the opening session, in accordance with Art. 5-2 of the Rules of Procedure of the ICOMOS General Assembly (for further information concerning the preparation of the General Assembly Agenda please also consult Art. 6 to 10).

The Provisional Agenda is also availabe on the special 18th General Assembly website under Programme > General Assembly > Agenda.

2nd consultation - Ethical Commitment Statement

In July, the International Secretariat sent you Volume 1 of the General Assembly Working Documents by postal service. Already then it was announced that there would be a second consultation on the Ethical Principles. Indeed, the Merged Working Group and the Bureau felt that this consultation is necessary before the presentation of a final proposal for adoption at the 18th General Assembly in Florence.
Please download the interim report, which includes a revised version of the Ethical Principles, by clicking here . The compilation of the contributions received following the first consultation is available on the ICOMOS website under About ICOMOS > ICOMOS Missions and Visions > Statutes and Handbook > Amendment of the Statutes and Ethical Commitment Statement.

Members and Committees are invited to send their comments on the revised
version of the Ethical Principles until 8 October 2014 to the following address only: secretariat@icomos.org. This will allow the Merged Working Group to finalise its proposal, in cooperation with the Executive Committee, so that it can be
distributed prior to the meeting of the Advisory Committee and the 18th General Assembly.

Many thanks and best wishes,
on behalf of the Bureau and the Merged Working Group,
Kirsti Kovanen, Secretary General
