The Board of ICOMOS has approved the formation of a new International Scientific Committee on Water and Heritage (ISCWater). ISCWater is now launching a call for interest to all ICOMOS Committees and members.

ICOMOS is pleased to publish a new thematic study Tea Landscapes of Asia: A Thematic Study which explores the theme of agricultural landscapes related to the cultivation and processing of the most-consumed manufactured drink in the world.
New publication: Exploring Cultural Heritage of the Arab Region: Potential offered for a more balanced World Heritage List
The Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) and the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) are pleased to announce the launch of the study “Exploring Cultural Heritage of the Arab Region: Potential offered for a more balanced World Heritage List”.
The 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP26) is taking place in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November 2021 with an urgent mission to get the world back on track towards meeting the goals of the 2015 Paris Agreement. ICOMOS is contributing to heritage-related events organised in the framework of the COP26, which highlight the engagement of cultural heritage in climate action.
In December 2021, the ICOMOS Secretariat together with the ICCROM-IUCN World Heritage Leadership programme will hold a write-shop (writing workshop) dedicated to ICOMOS members for the preparation of case studies, in this context “solutions”, to be submitted for inclusion on the PANORAMA Nature-Culture Thematic Community.
