On the occasion of World Oceans Day, 8 June, you are invited to a UNESCO webinar on

“The Ocean’s Past –
Underwater Archaeology and Ocean Sciences”

For this special online initiative, UNESCO’s Scientific and Technical Advisory Body, the Ocean Decade Heritage Network, and Alexandria University, Egypt, invite you to learn and exchange on the importance of underwater cultural heritage for understanding the status of the oceans.

This webinar is organized in the framework of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2021 – 2030) and aims to show that cultural heritage is an essential element for ocean research.
