Here are the latest initiatives for the month of June that ICOMOS Sustainable Development Goals Working Group is doing, including different topics such as world heritage and other matters on cultural policies.
The ICOMOS Sustainable Development Goals Working Group who looks at the implementation of the UN Agenda 2030 and establishing the link of heritage as a driver and enabler of sustainable development is inviting you to listen in and participate in various activities of the UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF).
If you believe that there is no future without culture and that the cultural ecosystems should be integrated in both short-term recovery and long-term development strategies, support the #Culture2030goal campaign. With the launch today of its strategy document, the group (of which ICOMOS is a member) takes this opportunity to extend an invitation to interested stakeholders to join the campaign and support its actions.
“Heritage and the Sustainable Development Goals: Policy Guidance for Heritage and Development Actors” — the new policy document produced by the Sustainable Development Goals Working Group (Priority Action 1 Task Team) — was released worldwide on Wednesday, 17 March 2021, during the fifth ICOMOS SDGs Working Group Webinar, Policy + Partnerships: Coming Together to Mobilize Heritage for Sustainable Development (SDG 1-17).
