ICOMOS International Secretariat
Due to the covid-19 virus, as of Monday 16 March, the ICOMOS International Secretariat has closed its offices in Paris for an undetermined period of time, in order to ensure the safety of its staff and comply with instructions issued by the French government. The team continue to be at your service via email at email@example.com, and will endeavour to maintain ICOMOS activities as best possible.
The International Secretariat is located at the headquarters of ICOMOS in Greater Paris.

As our new premises are in the same location as the Médiathèque de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, please present yourself at the reception desk of the Médiathèque who will direct you to the ICOMOS offices. We thank you for kindly informing us of your visit ahead of time.
Under the supervision of the Director General, appointed by the President, the Secretariat coordinates the implementation of the ICOMOS General Programme as well as the decisions of the General Assembly, the Board and its Bureau.
In this respect, the International Secretariat's principal mission is the following:
- support the development of ICOMOS' network
- disseminate knowledge about heritage conservation, notably by its Documentation Centre
- provide advisory and evaluation services to State Parties required for the implementation of the World Heritage Convention.
