The workshop' statement addresses how World Heritage can contribute to the Post-2020 GBF and includes some relevant observation on the linkages between Nature and Culture and their mutually beneficial roles.

Seeing the multiple levels of cooperation in interlinking natural and cultural heritage practices and among the Advisory Bodies to the UNESCO World Heritage Convention, the statement is a chance to make a stronger connection and support though World Heritage the Convention on Biological Diversity and the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.

Together with its partner organizations, IUCN, ICCROM and UNESCO World Heritage Centre, ICOMOS endorses the document and looks forward for future steps that would contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
