Event 1:  Looking Back: A MONDIACULT 1982 Retrospective

The MONDIACULT 1982 Conference was an international forum that aimed to shape global policy and celebrated the distinctive cultures and heritage of people around the world. It identified that culture encompasses ways of life, value systems, traditions and beliefs that are a fundamental human right. Forty years on, this event looked back and took stock of the aspirations, expectations, and outcomes of Mondiacult 1982. With an expert panel of culture and heritage professionals, this event discussed whether the aims of MONDIACULT 1982 were met and questioned what were the effects on global policies after 40 years.
