US/ICOMOS is pleased to announce the call for applications for participants and hosts in the 2019 International Exchange Program (IEP).

US/ICOMOS is seeking graduate students and young professionals (1-3 years of experience) specialized in historic preservation and heritage conservation to participate in the 2019 Summer IEP.

The IEP is a professional development internship that has been running since 1984. In that time, over 700 students and emerging professionals have participated in the US and 70 other countries around the world.

Participants will be assigned practical working internships, under professional supervision, with a public or private non-profit preservation organization.

Positions are for interns with a bachelor's degree (at a minimum) in a preservation or conservation-related field: architecture, landscape architecture, cultural resource management, materials conservation, interpretation, history of architecture, archaeology, industrial archaeology, public history or cultural tourism.

Please find here the Call for participants for the US/ICOMOS International Exchange Program (IEP). The information is also available at their website: http://usicomos.org/internship/.

  • The deadline for internship applications is 11 January 2019.

---

US/ICOMOS is also seeking host organizations that can host interns. Sponsorship of an intern enables an organization to establish international connections and help train future professionals through preservation work experience at a modest cost to the host organization. Exchanges also build rewarding social, political, and personal relationships.

Please find here the Call for Hosts for the US/ICOMOS International Exchange Program (IEP). The information is also available at their website: http://usicomos.org/internship/host-organizations/.

  • The deadline for host applications is 4 January 2019.

If you need any additional information, please contact Brian Lione (Chair, IEP Committee, US/ICOMOS) at IEP[at]usicomos.org
