FINDING THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IN CANADA &
INTERNATIONAL HERITAGE CONSERVATION ON THE INTERNET

Paper presented by François LeBlanc, Chief Architect, National Capital Commission, during the Construct Canada'99 Congress held in Toronto, December 1-3, 1999.

There are literally thousands of sites on the Internet that offer information in the field of construction and heritage conservation. But finding useful construction and heritage conservation information on the Internet can be a painful experience.

To help, I have compiled a limited number of Internet sites that I find very useful. They should help you to access information quickly. If you do not find what you are looking for on these sites, I am convinced that you will find them to be a useful gateway to help you get going in the right direction.

I have organized the information into 14 general categories or topics. I hope that you find them useful. In alphabetic order, the categories are:

  1. Construction
  2. Grants
  3. Images
  4. Journals
  5. Listserv
  6. Literature
  7. Materials / Products
  8. Organizations (International)
  9. Organizations (National)
  10. Principles
  11. Research
  12. Specialists
  13. Technology
  14. Training
