Réhabilitation d'un édifice administratif en centre d'accueil pour visiteurs et autres fonctions

Projet réalisé en 1998-99

D'abord conçu comme garage pour véhicules utilitaires au début des années 60, le bâtiment fut transformé et agrandi dans les années 80 pour incorporer des fonctions administratives. Suite à une réduction importante des effectifs de la Commission de la capitale nationale en 1996, une grande partie du bâtiment était inoccupé. En 1998-99, des travaux de réhabilitation ont transformé encore une fois ce bâtiment pour lui donner une nouvelle fonction d'accueil des visiteurs en plus de soutenir diverses autres fonctions. La gestionnaire de projet était Mona Lamongagne, OAA et l'entrepreneur en Design-construction était Le Groupe Roche.

Rehabilitation of administration and service building into visitor reception center and multi-uses

Project completed in 1998-99

Originally built in the early 60s as a garage for service vehicules, the building was transformed and expanded during the 80s to incorporate administrative functions. Following a major staff reduction of the National Capital Commission during 1996, a large portion of the building was left vacant. During 1998-99, rehabilitation work transformed this building once more to give it new life. It became a visitor centre and also housed several other functions. The Project Manager was Mona Lamontagne, OAA and the Design-Build contractor was Le Groupe Roche.
