Donald Jones, US/ICOMOS Director of Programs, was invited to participate in the 2007 Taller Internacional de Conservación y Restauración de Arquitectura de Tierra (TICRAT) in the state of Chihuahua (October 24-26). The workshop included presentations by INAH staff and hands-on preservation work at several historic properties, including a hacienda in El Sauz and the Santa Ana de Chinarras church, both outside of the city of Chihuahua. Attendees from the United States included James Hare, Jean Fulton, and Pat Taylor (all of Cornerstones); Denise Alexander (National Trust for Historic Preservation, Southwest Regional Office); Jake Barrow (National Park Service); and others. Mexican participants included numerous architecture and preservation graduate students from local universities. |
