Through its International Scientific Committees
(SCs) of
experts around the world, as well as its triennial General Assembly, ICOMOS has established international standards for the preservation,
restoration, and management of the cultural environment. At the
2005 General Assembly in China, ICOMOS ratified the
Eger-Xi’an
Principles (pdf file), which adopt a new membership structure for the International
Scientific Committees (ISCs). See below for a list of committees
