US/ICOMOS is pleased that ICOMOS Lithuania, working with Lithuanian Monuments, reinstated the bilateral exchange after an absence of several years.  In addition, Hillier Architecture with offices in Philadelphia and elsewhere hosted two international interns this season.  While the Samuel H. Kress Foundation annually provides significant support for the program and overseas internships for U.S. participants, in 2006 the Kress Foundation also awarded US/ICOMOS a separate grant to conduct a short-term internship to Ghana during the fall.  Also, in Spring 2006, two Jamaican interns spent 8 weeks on Jekyll Island, Georgia, to complete the US-Jamaica exchange begun in Fall 2005.

Application information for the 2007 program can be found HERE.

Internships in Central/Eastern Europe were not held in 2006 due to lack of funding.  US/ICOMOS hopes to reinstate these internships in 2007.

These US/ICOMOS International Exchanges are supported by grants from private foundations, U.S. host organizations, and individual donors.  The 2006 season has received significant support from the Marpat Foundation, Keepers Fund for Historic Preservation, Royal Oak Foundation, Samuel H. Kress Foundation, and contributions from numerous individuals and host organizations.
