2003 Summer Documentation Project

US/ICOMOS Interns from Armenia, Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia

For nearly 20 years, the National Park Service's HABS/HAER Summer Documentation Program has been an integral partner with the US/ICOMOS International Intern Exchange Program, routinely hosting a number of interns each year.  In 2003, most of the US/ICOMOS interns working with the HABS/HAER team traveled to Vermont to assist with the documentation of historic covered bridges.  Others spent part of the time in the field and part of their time in the HABS/HAER office in Washington, DC producing computer-generated drawings based on the measurements obtained in the field.  Still others documented historic buildings and landscapes in the Mid-Atlantic region.  Follow these links to learn more about these internships.
