Joomla Webmaster / Documentalist
ICOMOS Documentation Centre (M/F)

ICOMOS is looking for a person to update/develop ICOMOS International secretariat’s website, online tools and platforms, and to manage the Documentation centre.

  • MISSION 1: Contribute to the development and update of ICOMOS’ website.

-         Update the website contents and structure with JOOMLA CMS;

-         Ensure dissemination of web contents via social networks (Facebook / Twitter) ;

-         Exchange with our hosting providers and Joomla backend managers.

  • MISSION 2: Manage and enhance library collections

-         Catalogue and index books and journal articles;

-         Manage the ICOMOS Open Access Repository;

-         Manage the ICOMOS collaborative photobank online;

-         Provide reference service to readers/users:

* Answer information requests received by email or telephone

* Welcome visitors to the Documentation Centre

* Distribute documentary products to ICOMOS’ network (members and Committees): selective thematic bibliographies …

 

  • MISSION 3 : Manage the sale of ICOMOS publications

-         Ensure legal deposit;

-         Manage sales and shipments.

The candidate must have the following knowledge and skills:

 -          Ability to develop and maintain web pages (degree/certificate or at least excellent knowledge of Joomla required)

-          A University degree in librarianship and/or documentation, or an equivalent qualification in information management

-          Computer literacy, excellent command of bibliographic database software, knowledge of Open Access Repositories

-          Excellent knowledge of ICOMOS’ working languages: English and French, both spoken and written.

-          Interpersonal/Communication skills and ability to deal with the public, team spirit, initiative, ability to work independently and to respect deadlines.

-          2 or 3 years work experience is considered an advantage

-          Knowledge of cultural heritage conservation, art history and related fields is considered an advantage

 

Contract

Fixed-term contract with a minimum duration of 6 months. Starting date: beginning of December 2016

French work permit required. Salary will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.
