ICOMOS at Habitat 3 - 17-20 October 2016

Habitat 3 logoThe UN Habitat 3 meetings have been 20 years in the making and now the time has come! Next week, over 40,000 governments, experts and stakeholders will assemble in Quito, Ecuador to finalize the "New Urban Agenda" - a document designed to guide sustainable urbanism for the next 20 years.

ICOMOS and its partners have been at work for several years to mainstream cultural heritage into this Agenda. The good news is that the final draft going before ministers in Quito shows important fruits of those labors.
