Survey and documentation of the current state of conservation in Christian buildings inscribed as “Cultural Monuments” in Albania
What? A very important project that will be extended in three years consists in a comprehensive and detailed survey and documentation of the current state of conservation in Christian buildings inscribed as “Cultural Monuments” in Albania.
182 monuments (churches, basilicas, chapels, cathedrals, monasteries) that will be part of this survey are located in the city vicinities, rural zones, of the following cities all over Albania.
When? For three years starting from March 2015
Where? All over Albania
What? Elaboration of the Albanian Charter for Restoration that ICOMOS-Albania foresees to complete within the year 2015.
When? There are programed different meetings that will have start in 18 April 2015.

Exhibition dedicated to the International Day of Monuments and Sites, April 18
Who? ICOMOS/Armenia, in close collaboration with “Erebuni” Historical & Archaeological Museum-Reserve
What? New exhibition. presented in the “Erebuni” museum, and taking account the fact that Erebuni is an archaeological site, only archaeological sites will be exhibited.
When? On the International Day of Monuments and Sites – 18 April 2015

Commemoration of the centenary of the Armenian Genocide
What? Joining the important mission of commemorating the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, ICOMOS/Armenia will also implement a number of events, taking into account the fact that in the result of Genocide heritage was lost. A significant part of the monuments, thousands of churches, monasteries, religious and secular values of the architectural heritage, being in Western Armenia /Turkey/,were completely destroyed and damaged during the evacuation and massacres of Armenians.
An exhibition will be organized in April ,dedicated to the lost and damaged heritage because of the Genocide, where the monuments of Western Armenia will be exhibited. Lectures will be held in Republic of Armenia and beyond its borders especially on the preservation of the Armenian heritage in Western Armenia.

Accreditation of events and logo
The International Secretariat has designed an official 50th anniversary logo which must be used by all accredited events in order to ensure a consistent visual identity for this world-wide celebration. ICOMOS Committees may adapt the logo to include the name of their country or Committee.
Please consult the Principles for event patronage (Word document) to ensure that your event is officially accredited by ICOMOS and that you have permission to use the logo. Members must also liaise with their National and International Scientific Committee before making a proposal for an event accreditation to the ICOMOS International Secretariat.
