International Colloquium on the Post-Conflict Reconstruction of Historic Cities

On 20-21 January 2017, the International Colloquium on the Post-Conflict Reconstruction of Historic Cities will take place at the Louvre-Lens Museum.

Drawing from experiences at both regional and international levels, this colloquium is an opportunity to combine approaches to the reconstruction of heritage through the comparison of examples from different periods and places. The reconstruction, reconstitution and restoration of destroyed heritage require a multidisciplinary approach and raise varying issues.

This event will bring together specialists from international organizations including ICCROM, ICOMOS, UNESCO, the OECD, the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, as well as several governments and universities in France, Europe and the Middle East.
