Catherine Brouwer BA; GDLA; MDesS. AAILA

Catherine is a landscape architect and principal of her practice, Catherine Brouwer Landscape Architects, established in 1989. Catherine's landscape planning expertise includes landscape heritage. She has considerable experience over a wide variety of cultural and heritage landscape projects including conservation management plans, heritage guidelines, expert witness reports, and built conservation and restoration projects.

Catherine's practice expertise also covers landscape assessment and planning, and design services for master plans, streetscape design, parks and gardens, and landscapes for commercial, industrial and housing projects, and institutional grounds.

Catherine was a member of the Queensland Heritage Council from 2001 to 2007, is a member of the Valuers Registration Board of Queensland, and is on the Brisbane City Council Expert Advisory Panel for Advertising Signs.

She has contributed to the landscape architecture profession through:- teaching at the QUT and University of Queensland; through seminar and conference papers; and, through executive and committee positions and awards judging for the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. In 2001 and 2005, she was one of the judging panel for the Gold Coast City Council Urban Design Awards. Catherine is currently chair of the Qld. AILA Regional Landscapes Committee.
